Assassin's Creed

Assassin's creed, the main games in the franchise were developed by Ubisoft Montreal for the single player and Ubisoft Annecy for the multiplayer, with the handheld titles developed by Gameloft and Gryptonite Studios, with additional development by Ubisoft Montreal. This game series took the inspiration from the novel  Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol while building upon concepts from the Prince of Persia series.
The whole series is dependent on the Life of assassin's  and the templars.Now a days series of this game is in the eye of all game lovers.So,those who like to spend their vaccations in playing games should buy those series cause once you start playing it you will become a core fan of it.



Technology

For developing such a high-end graphical game ubisoft developed a game engine known as Anvil before 2006 Anvil was known as a scimitar later it was known as Anvil.Anvil was coded in c++ but at the time Ubisoft is trying to integrate C# to ensure an enhancement of versatility.Using Anvil we can correctly position the character's hands and feet in climbing and pushing animations at run-time.Firstly by using anvil we were able to include full day cycle ,lightning effect,reflection effect,vegitation,special effects like new clothing system etc in a game.But in later version we are able to include specific weather settings as well as an automatically cycling mode ,settlements on both land and sea may appear/disappear relating to the events in the game, and water effects could be adjusted as accordingly.The engine received a variety of significant upgrades, including pre-baked Global Illumination, reflection mapping, volumetric fog, dynamic weather, and dynamic foliage etc.


Gameplay

The first main character of this game is Desmond Miles.In later series it changes to various character.All the time a main character need to experience the memories of his ancestor.So starting from this century you need to play a game of other past centuries.
